In most cases during the recognition of the Russian diplomas overseas the detailed information of the study program by semesters in ECTS credits is needed. In Russian attachments to the diploma such information is not available.

UNESCO in cooperation with Council of Europe and European Commission develops a model of detailed Diploma Supplement. In Russia issuance of Diploma Supplement is not obligatory. SPBSPU issue it upon the request.

Diploma Supplement is issued to the graduates of SPBSPU 2002 and further.
Diploma Supplement does not replace russian attachment to the diploma, it only adds and enlarges it.

Diploma Supplement is issued to the russian graduates as well as to the foreign.
Diploma Supplement is issued to the Bachelor, Specialist, Master diplomas in Russian or English at will.
