Within the module you will gain or improve the competences in the field of Russian Language, Russian politics and business culture, you’ll visit «Pepsi» company, as well as Peterhof and Pushkin – Imperial residences and palaces in St.Petersburg surrounding.


You also can be enrolled to every two weeks of this module.

The course is designed both for students having had no prior contact with the Russian language and for students having studied the Russian language and wishing to improve their skills. It requires having learned the basic structure of Russian language. The course is aimed at building on the structures of the language and refining four main skills: listening, speaking, reading and writing. By the end of the course students will be able to skim texts and distinguish the main ideas, participate in communications; read texts in Russian, understand and retell the contents of written or heard texts and make up statements. The course includes individual and group work and self study. Student activities are such as conversation, role playing, performing oral and written exercises and reading texts.



The main goal of the course consists in presenting students with a body of knowledge about attempted reforms of the Communist socio-economic system by M. S Gorbachev and his team, the ultimate disintegration of the USSR. Furthermore, students will learn about main stages and events, marking the eventful overcoming by the Russian people of the Communist legacy under the guidance of elected Presidents – B.N.Yeltsin, V.V. Putin and D.A.Medvedev. The political struggle and the plot of the last election are taken into consideration.



This course is aimed at giving students information about Russian business culture and business environment in Russia. Key concepts of Russian business culture (collectivism, egalitarianism and soul) are considered together with structure and hierarchy in Russian companies, working relationships in Russia, business practices in Russia, attitude towards foreign partners, gender aspects etc. Such partial things as business dress code, meals and business etiquette, gifts are also taken into consideration. Field trip to Pepsi Company is the part of the course.

IIEP does its best to create comfortable conditions of life for the international students. International students live in the student dormitory. Student dormitory is a semidetached building to IIEP. Compartments comprise 2 double rooms with shared facilities: a small kitchen, a bathroom and a toilet.


All apartments are equipped with a bed, bedside table, desk, chairs, wardrobe, curtains, and bed clothes (includ. mattress, blanket, pillow, sheets, pillow cases). Kitchen contains electric hot board, refrigerator, kitchen table, and stools. Most rooms have technical capacity for fixed Internet connection.


The accommodation conditions should be discussed in the correspondence with program coodinator.

Participation fee:

  • 780 Euro (for the whole module)
  • 400 Euro (for every 2 weeks)
