This course is aimed at helping future tourist managers to create an appropriate tour in order to meet even the most sophisticated demands of their clients and to get knowledge in the field of the largest and most perspective sectors of world tourism industry – MICE-industry: meetings, incentive, conferences and events.

World global booking system


The course covers the following issues: basic skills in using CRS & GDS programs and the main aspects of monitoring such as fare quotes, pricing and ticketing. The students will be able to practice on Amadeus software.


MICE industry in Russia


The aim of the course is to acquaint students with the one of the largest and most perspective sectors of world tourism industry. The emphasis will be made on 4 main components of MICE-industry – meetings, incentive, conferences and events. The course will cover such issues as origin and formation of MICE-tourism in the world and in Russia, special features of MICE in Russia, legislation in the part touching MICE-industry, statistical information, material base (congress-halls, hotels, technical devices), famous international companies involved in MICE-tourism business.


Russian Civilization


The course’s main goal is to give students a coherent knowledge of Russia’s historical background relevant to its realities of the last decades, to analyze the major lines of the country’s transformation theory and features of its practical implementation at the last stages of the Communist experiment and post-Communist chaotic dismantlement of the country, to disclose and evaluate achievements and failures of ultra-liberal recipes for the post-Communist modernization and its most prominent features, thus contributing for better understanding of Russia’s present stage of development.

ECTS Credits: 3.5 +1


Participation fee: 410 Euro
