DEPARTMENT OF INTERNATIONAL RELATIONS

 


International Relations Department aims to provide students with opportunities to study history and social anthropology, religion, language and culture, economic and political structure of the region, one of the countries or group of countries.

 

Alumni will be in charge of developing practical recommendations on different issues such as regional and international policies, scientific, educational, informational and cultural exchange, trade-economic cooperation, etc.

  • Fundamentals of international relations theory
  • Public international law
  • Legislation system of different countries
  • International economics, international economic relations
  • World politics, diplomacy
  • Regional and international institutions
  • World integration processes

 Plus:

  • Two European Languages
  • History of Russia, Europe, North America, Asia, Africa
  • Political science, history of culture
  • The Russian language and public speaking
  • Philosophy, sociology
  • Economics, mathematics and computing.

Duration of completing Honours degree program - 5 years (10 semesters).

Career opportunities exist in areas as diverse as foreign services, international agencies, multinational corporations; referents, experts, consulting in area of international relations; interpreters in governmental, scientific, and educational institutions in Russia.

 

 

Department of International Relations also offers degrees in Advertising. This program is designed to provide the student with theoretical knowledge, management techniques and practical skills relevant for their successful career growth in different industrial and business organizations.


Demand in highly qualified specialists in sphere of advertising is stipulated by development of market economy in Russia and necessity to use advertising as one of the most effective ways of promoting goods and services into the market.


Marketing analyses forecast that economic growth and rising demand to the quality of advertisement will lead in the nearest future to development of advertising activities into one of the most profitable and efficiently functioning spheres

 

 

Course structure:

Students study the following subjects:

  • foreign language
  • culture studies, political science, law studies, pedagogy and psychology, the Russian language, public speaking, philosophy, social studies, economics, history of Russia, conflictology, world religions.
  • mathematics and computer science, natural science concepts, computer and office technologies, information technologies in advertisement.
  • history of arts and literature, economics and statistics, finance and credit, legal regulation in publicity, management, marketing, commerce, business communication, publicity basics, PR.
  • psychology and sociology of advertising, communication, stylistics and editing, advertisement producing techniques, social anthropology, international relations, means of connection with advertisement.

     

Students have access to well-equipped facilities of the institute - computer and language labs, up-to-date AV equipment, satellite television system, library. Non-resident students are provided with accommodation in the Institute Hostel.

 

 

Duration of study:  5 years.
