Institute of International Educational Programs of St.Petersburg State Polytechnical University together with international partners annually organizes Summer Study Programs including:

a wide range of international short-term educational programs for students, academic staff and specialists in different spheres of science and technology;

STUDY PROCESS
Programs:

Russian Language Study
IIEP SPSPU has a more than 35 years experience of Russian Language training of international students and is carefully keeping these traditions.
The program has different levels so that the students could choose one according to their prior knowledge of Russian language. Beginners can be admitted only to the basic level and only from the start of the program.

Programs in English language for the students of engineering, economics and humanities majors
IIEP is organizing special programs in English language together with the partner Universities (on the basis of a preliminary request). A number of courses can be taught by lecturers from the partner Universities. Participation of individual students in such courses requires prior agreement.

Module “Russia as a Business Environment”
Students are provided with the knowledge about Russian business culture, national history, customs and traditions. The Module is developed in accordance with European requirements and can be recognized as a period of studying abroad.

TERMS OF PARTICIPATION
In addition to the Russian language course, students can take 1 or maximum 2 courses from the module. Those wishing to take two courses should choose one morning course and one afternoon course.
Within module 2 several participation options are available.
CULTURAL ACTIVITIES
St. Petersburg is considered to be one of the world's most beautiful cities and has everything for the unforgettable travel experience: marvellous sights, rich cultural traditions, eventful nightlife. Summer School is held in the period of the famous White Nights that cannot leave anyone indifferent.
In summer 2010 we offer our students the following excursions:
- Pushkin;
- Peterhoff;
- Staraya Ladoga;
- Yalkala;
- Novgorod;
- “Baltica” Brewery.

ACCOMMODATION
Students are provided with double room accommodation in the well-equipped University hostel located in the same building with the lecture halls.
Each two rooms are equipped with a shared bathroom and a small kitchen with a fridge.
Accommodation in single rooms is possible on the terms of preliminary agreement.
MEALS
The following catering options are available:
- ordering meals in the IIEP dining hall (at the preliminary request);
- self-catering in IIEP cafe.
ADMISSION
For the partner Universities sending the group of students (the minimum size of group is 7 persons) the program can be modified (upon preliminary discussed request).
In such case the number of courses, syllabi, cultural program and the back up services should be fixed by a separate agreement.
Individual students are required to send their applications to the module manager via e-mail.
Application deadline:
- for the module 1 (June) - 01 April;
- for the module 2 (05 July - 17 July) - 15 April;
- for the module 3 (19 July - 01 August) - 01 May.
Age and prerequisites
Students under 18 can be admitted to the program only in case they come in group with a teacher. Students over 18 can be admitted either in group or individually. Previous education and professional experience requirements depend on the program.
